I've recently lost eight but can't get rid the rest of my belly fat. I have tried just about every diet is Smart Lipo an option?

The Greenwich Medical Staff - Thursday, October 29, 2009
SmartLipo LaserBodySculpting is the first state-of-the-art technology and only Laser Lypolisis (fat cell distribution) system to offer a minimally invasive procedure that removes fat.  It offers less downtime and side-effects than traditional liposuction.   It can be done on your stomach, hips, thighs, arms or chin.  The stomach is one of our most popular treatment areas.

Most of our clients that opt to do the procedure on their stomach are post pregnancy moms, or clients that just can't get rid of the belly fat.   An added benefit of SmartLipo is skin tightening, which most of our clients love.   Please make an appointment with you SmartLipo provider to see if you are a good for the procedure.   You can also visit our website at GreenwichMedicalSpa.com to see our SmartLipo before and after photos.

None of the above is not intended as medical advice. If you have a medical concern, please consult your doctor.

What kind of medical professional should I consult, and what type of qualifications are required to perform LipoDissolve?

The Greenwich Medical Staff - Wednesday, October 07, 2009

We do not recommend LipoDissolve to any of our clients.  LipoDissolve is not an FDA approved procedure and uses unapproved drugs for unapproved purposes. Some countries have banned the treatment outright. In the United States - Kansas - issued a temporary ban on Lipodisolve which remains in place and in effect at the present time.  Finally three prominent medical organizations have issued detailed warnings about Lipodisolve: the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS).

If cellulite or fat reduction is your main concern, there are may treatments in the market, like Velashape II and SmartLipo that can help with these concerns.

Sincerely,
Dr. Jeffrey Schorr and staff of The Greenwich Medical Skincare & Laser Spa.

I have a tremendous amount of cellulite on my thighs, and am considering getting a cosmetic procedure to help with it. Which one has been more reliable with cellulite improvement, Mesotherapy or Velashape?

The Greenwich Medical Staff - Tuesday, October 06, 2009
We are not sold on Velashape, Velasmooth or mesotherpy as clients have complained to its lack of, or minimal results.  Having said that, Syneron, the manufacturer of Velashape and Velasmooth, has introduced its second generation of Velashape called Velashape II.  We will be testing the new Velashape II, for the treatment of cellulite on four of our clients. Once they have completed the whole series, and their results are reviewed, we will decide if we want to invest in the technology.  The clients will post their experience on our blog on our website, www.GreenwichMedicalSpa.com.  As for mesotherapy, it is not an FDA approved procedure for the treatment of cellulite and we do not offer it to our clients.
