Take Your Skin to the Max!
There is no need to live any longer with brown spots, discoloration, fine wrinkles and uneven skin tone and texture. Now you can trade in your old skin with Fraxel Max. This in-office procedure will resurface your skin, reduce fine lines, eliminate brown spots and acne scars and literally leave you with healthy skin you will love to be in.
We have been performing Fraxel laser treatments for more than seven years, and through these years of experience, we have learned that the best results come from a combined treatment we call Fraxel Max. During a Fraxel Max treatment, you receive a microdermabrasion, a Fraxel laser treatment and an IPL Photofacial, leading to a total skin resurfacing
How It Works
Fraxel Max is a non-invasive laser treatment that penetrates the top layers of the skin to thermally damage them and stimulate new collagen production. It resurfaces the skin, and lets your own natural healing process slough off, smooth away and eliminate brown and red spots, acne scars and wrinkles. It even tightens skin at the same time. The Fraxel Max treatment literally stimulates the body to create new, healthier skin. This advanced skin resurfacing protocol produces dramatic results in just four visits, approximately one month apart.
Clients we have treated with the Fraxel Dual laser for abnormal pigmentation have enjoyed significant improvement in their skin color, with a marked reduction in abnormal brown pigment. In many cases, only one or two treatment sessions have been needed to achieve the desired improvement. These clients are regularly asked by people they know what they have done to their skin to look so much better!
Fraxel Dual laser treatment also results in significant improvement in fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and other facial scars. Skin texture is much smoother and skin crepiness is reduced. Patients who need improvement in their fine lines, wrinkles, texture, and scars generally require approximately four treatments. These treatments are given at monthly intervals.
The first step in a Fraxel Max treatment is an exfoliation treatment to remove the dead skin cells from the outer layer of the skin. Our next step is to utilize the Fraxel Dual laser, a light energy technology that penetrates the top skin layers to stimulate collagen production, thereby resurfacing the skin’s top layer. Finally, an IPL Photofacial is used to further improve the texture, tone and color of the skin. IPL is a laser device that specifically targets red and brown discolorations on the skin. Performed together, these treatments also help tighten the skin and decrease pore size. *Some people may not be a good candidate for the IPL, given their skin type.
Fraxel Max provides truly life-changing results.
Is Fraxel Max Right For Me?
Before any procedure is performed at Greenwich Medical Spa, we provide a significant client consultation where we will help you assess your needs, review expectations and work together to create an individualized treatment plan that is just right for you. If you would like improved skin pigment and texture, reduced fine lines and wrinkles and resurfaced healthy skin, Fraxel Max could be the perfect fit. Note: Fraxel is the “colorblind” laser. While darker skin tones often cannot be treated with lasers, Fraxel can be used safely to improve literally any skin type!
When Should I Start Fraxel Max Treatments?
Fraxel Max is performed in a series of four treatments, and you’ll need to stay out of the sun for a week prior to and a week following the treatment. This makes Fraxel Max a wonderful procedure to perform during fall and winter months.
How Long Will the Results Last?
Fraxel Max results are permanent, although time and sun exposure will begin to age the skin again. After achieving results from Fraxel Max, it is vital to develop a good sunscreen habit. You should wear sunscreen every day and reapply regularly when participating in sports or spending time in direct sunlight. Be sure to choose a sunscreen with zinc and titanium dioxide. Does it Hurt and Is There Any Downtime?
Fraxel Max is nearly painless. Prior to treatment, a topical numbing cream is applied to the skin, and during treatment, patients describe a prickly, heat sensation. Following a Fraxel Max treatment, patients experience mild swelling and redness similar to a sunburn, and within 2-3 days, fresh, new skin begins to appear. There is little to no downtime with Fraxel Max, other than the “sunburn.” Makeup can be applied right away if needed.
