With several years of experience in the aesthetics field, Laura Johnson continues to grow her skillset and advance her education. She started her career selling skincare for Origins, then moved to the front desk at Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa. During her time at the well-known day spa, she earned her license from the New York School of Esthetics and began working as an aesthetician, helping patients with many types of skin issues. The experience motivated her to learn more and gain advanced training in chemical peels and earn certification in laser hair removal. More recently, Laura is completing an A.A.S. degree with a major in Nursing at Cochran School of Nursing in Yonkers, which will prepare her to take the NCLEX-RN exam and serve as a stepping-stone to obtain her BSN and MSN.
Laura is passionate about skincare and loves keeping up to date on the latest skincare trends. Even as cosmetic technology advances, she finds that the most important aspects of patient care are comfort and trust. She also enjoys working with patients to create a skincare plan so that they can achieve their goals, and in this, she is informed by her own experience dealing with cystic acne. When not guiding patients about the right practices and homecare routines, Laura enjoys traveling – she was born in Manchester, England – and relaxing with family, friends and her rescue cat. But don’t be surprised if you also find her indulging in her secret passion – gaming.
