Shilpa continued her family’s long tradition in medicine, earning Bachelor's degrees in Respiratory Therapy and Applied Science, followed by a Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies at Mercy College. After many years working as a pharmaceutical rep and as a PA in areas including radiology, general neurology, hematology, oncology, vascular surgery and emergency medicine, as well as respiratory therapy, she left mainstream medicine for medical aesthetic industry, in part due to an experience with a patient. Shilpa’s patient struggled to find a new job and suspected age bias, so she opted for BOTOX and dermal filler injections, which helped her regain a more youthful appearance and gave her confidence a boost. Within a week, the patient was hired in the career she desired, which left Shilpa with the understanding that there were many ways to help people change their lives, something she enjoys being part of at the Greenwich Medical Spa where clients needs always come first. In particular, Shilpa adores the art of injectables, which allows her to be creative and at the same time to give clients a more youthful appearance. Shilpa has advanced training and Certifications in BOTOX and fillers, which have only enhanced her natural aesthetic eye.
A lifelong vegetarian, Shilpa stays involved with animal charity organizations and plans to use her healing skills on medical missions in the near future. While the idea of medicinal globetrotting may sound daunting, Shilpa has already traveled in India and Caribbean islands such as Antigua and Sint Maarten, and enjoys day tripping to quaint and charming towns. Her passion is taking her kayak and exploring different areas of the Long Island sound and lakes.
