NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THE FOLLOWING PATIENTS:
✔ Pregnant or breastfeeding women.
✔ Those with active disease states, a hemorrhagic disorder, or are on anticoagulant treatments.
✔ Patients with diabetes, epilepsy, or Bell’s palsy.
✔ Patients with a history of keloid scarring.
✔ Someone experiencing an active or local skin disease that may alter wound healing or someone who has an autoimmune disease.
✔ Patients with active cystic acne or cold sores.
PRE-TREATMENT PREP
Do not have any vaccines for a minimum of 2 weeks before or after your treatment.
2 weeks prior to treatment
✔ Avoid chemical peels, lasers, or microdermabrasion.
72 hours prior to treatment
✔ Discontinue the use of cleansing devices (e.g. Clarisonic) and any skincare containing tretinoin, retinoids, alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA), beta-hydroxy acids (BHA), benzoyl peroxide or any exfoliating agents.
24 hours prior to treatment
✔ Avoid prolonged sun exposure or sunburn to the treatment area.
✔ Please shave your beard if you would like the skin beneath to be treated.
✔ For patients prone to cold sores, an antiviral medication must be taken 24 hours prior to treatment.
✔ Should an active or extreme breakout of acne occur before a treatment, the area will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the treatment provider.
POST-SKINCARE REGIMEN
24 hours post-treatment: apply only Post Procedure Gel, PRFM or Exosomes.
Following 24 hours post-treatment:
1. Cleanse: Use a gentle, soap-free cleanser. We recommend Greenwich Skinlabs Calming Rosa Foaming Cleanser, which helps to reduce the appearance of redness due to evodiox ginger root. If acne prone, we recommend Face Reality Gentle Cleanser or Greenwich Skinlabs Refresh Foaming Cleanser.
2. Correct: Once skin is fully healed; about 1-2 weeks following procedure.
• If targeting skin texture, elasticity, and/or collagen production, we recommend SkinMedica TNS Advanced+ Serum which contains growth factor and peptides.
• If targeting acne, we recommend scheduling a consultation with our estheticians to discuss Face Reality products which are made especially for acne prone skin.
• Bonus: Adding on a retinol to increase cell turnover time and boost overall results! Use only at night.
3. Moisturize: Apply a moisturizer in the morning and evening. We recommend Greenwich Skinlabs Hydraglow +, which helps to replenish and enhance the skin barrier post procedure. Safe for acne-prone skin as well.
4. Protect: Apply a broad-spectrum physical SPF of 30 or above in the morning and reapply throughout the day. We recommend Greenwich Skinlabs Reflect Riche which blocks both UVA and UVB rays.
POST-TREATMENT CARE
What to expect immediately after the treatment:
✔ Skin may feel tight and more sensitive than usual and vulnerable to irritation and damage. You may find that you are sensitive to products that you usually use and tolerate well.
✔ You may experience mild redness and irritation 1 to 7 days after the treatment.
✔ You may experience dryness up up 7 days post treatment.
✔ Pinpoint bruising can occur.
What to avoid:
✔ No makeup is to be used on the face for at least 12 hours after the treatment.
✔ Keep hands washed and away from the face as much as possible.
✔ Avoid any direct sun exposure for at least 10 days (if possible). If there is to be sun exposure after 72 hours, a broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30 or above should be used. This precaution should be continued throughout the treatment duration.
✔ Discontinue the following products until your skin has completely healed:
• Tretinoin, retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, bleaching creams, alcoholbased toners and exfoliating cleansing devices like the Clarisonic.
Fun Fact: UVA rays are responsible for aging. Chemical sunscreens do not block against UVA rays. So while you may not be getting burned due to chemical sunscreen blocking UVB, you are still aging yourself. This is why it is important to use a physical/mineral sunscreen daily!
WE RECOMMEND: 3-6 Eraser treatments 4-6 weeks apart for best results
