Pre And Post-Care Treatment Instructions for Optimal Results
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THE FOLLOWING PATIENTS:

✔ Those with active disease states, a hemorrhagic disorder or are on anticoagulant treatments.
✔ Someone experiencing an active or local skin disease that may alter wound healing or someone who has an autoimmune disease.
✔ Patients with diabetes.
✔ This procedure should not be used in a patient with any active or past vaginal/uterine or other female related problems without approval by GMS and your personal gynecologist.
PRE-TREATMENT PREP
✔ Also avoid herbal supplements such as St. John’s Wort, Omega-3 capsules, antihistamines and high doses of Vitamin E.
✔ You should have had a normal gynecological exam within the last year and have not had any gynecological/female issues since.
✔ The area needs to be clean shaven prior to treatment to help visualize injection sites.
POST-TREATMENT CARE
What to expect:
✔ Redness/swelling/numbness is normal for a few days to a week.
✔ Real results can be expected at 4 weeks (after all swelling has resolved) but can take up to 3 months.
✔ Discomfort and tenderness to the touch is also common in that time frame.
✔ Gently clean the area twice daily with mild soap for the first week.
✔ You may notice no effect at all in the first few weeks.
✔ You may notice reaction from mild to intense sexual sensitivity, want/need for sex, sexual drive/libido.
✔ Urinary incontinence may improve in the first few weeks but usually takes a month or longer to see results.
✔ Notify GMS if you cannot urinate within 4 hours of the procedure. If having issues urinating, drink water, wait 30 minutes, and if still unable to urinate proceed to contact the office.
What to avoid:
✔ No sexual relations for 1-week post treatment.
✔ No exercise, saunas, hot tubs, baths, or pools for 24 hours.
✔ Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, Aleve, Motrin, or icing post treatment. Tylenol can be taken.
✔ Avoid alcohol for 24 hours post treatment.
