Pre And Post-Care Treatment Instructions for Optimal Results
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THE FOLLOWING PATIENTS:
✔ Those with active disease states, a hemorrhagic disorder or are on anticoagulant treatments.
✔ Patients with diabetes, epilepsy or bell’s palsy.
✔ Someone experiencing an active or local skin disease that may alter wound healing or someone who has an autoimmune disease.
✔ Patients with pacemakers or metal implants.
✔ Patients with cold sores or keloid scarring.
PRE-TREATMENT PREP
✔ A history of herpes or cold sores will require a course of antiviral medication before and after your treatment. Please let your treatment provider know so we can prescribe your medication.
✔ Do not have any vaccines for a minimum of 2 weeks before or after your treatment.
2 weeks prior to treatment
✔ Prep skin with Alastin Regenerating Skin Nectar.
24 hours prior to treatment and arriving for your
treatment
✔ Discontinue use of products containing any of the following:
• Tretinoin, retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic
acids, astringents and any other exfoliating agents.
✔ Please arrive on time for your appointment to numb 1 hour prior to your treatment
POST-SKINCARE REGIMEN
1. Cleanse: Use a gentle, soap-free cleanser. We recommend Greenwich Skinlabs Calming Rosa Foaming Cleanser, which helps to reduce the appearance of redness due to evodiox ginger root.
2. Stimulate collagen: Apply a daily corrective cream on the face and neck every morning and evening. We recommend applying SkinMedica TNS Advanced+ serum every morning and evening to stimulate collagen reproduction as well as Alastin Restorative Neck Complex or Skinmedica Neck Correct to the neck and decollete area.
• Bonus: Adding on a retinol to increase cell turnover and boost overall results! Use only at night
3. Moisturize: Apply a moisturizer in the morning and evening. We recommend Greenwich Skinlabs Hydraglow +, which helps to replenish and enhance the skin barrier post procedure.
4. Protect: Apply a broad-spectrum physical SPF of 30 or above in the morning and reapply throughout the day. We recommend Greenwich Skinlabs Reflect Riche which blocks both UVA and UVB rays.
POST-TREATMENT CARE
What to expect:
✔ Welts can last up to 10 days, but usually resolve within 3-5 days.
✔ Bruising, pinpoint bleeding, minor scabbing, minor break outs, swelling and/or redness may occur and will resolve over time.
✔ Do not apply anything to the skin for 24 hours after treatment. This includes makeup and products of any kind, except the serum and mask provided to you at treatment and a broadspectrum sunscreen of SPF 30 or above.
What to avoid:
✔ Avoid the sun, heat, saunas, hot tubs and sweaty activity. This includes exercise of any kind for 24 hours.
✔ Do not pick, peel, rub or irritate your skin in any way while it is healing, as this may cause scarring.
✔ Do not apply acne products if you experience a breakout.
✔ Do not use an exfoliating cleansing device like the Clarisonic of any kind.
✔ Please apply Aquaphor if you experience any scabbing.
✔ Mineral makeup may be worn, however, we recommend leaving skin clean for this time if possible.
Fun Fact: UVA rays are responsible for aging. Chemical sunscreens do not block against UVA rays. So while you may not be getting burned due to chemical sunscreen blocking UVB, you are still aging yourself. This is why it is important to use a physical/mineral sunscreen daily!
WE RECOMMEND: a minimum of 3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart for best results, and a maintenance treatment 1-2x per year
