DURING TREATMENT PROGRAM
- Please keep your Semaglutide prescription in the refrigerator. Take it out of the refrigerator about 10 minutes before your injection.
- Your Semaglutide medication is to be taken once weekly, with or without food. Set a reminder on your phone to take your medication on the same day of the week. If you forget to take your injection, take it as soon as you remember. If it has been 5 or more days since your last dose, skip the missed dose and take your next scheduled dose. Do not inject a double dose.
- Be sure to use a new, unopened needle with each injection. Your needle should be disposed of in your sharps container after use.
- Your prescription is administered via subcutaneous injection, or areas of fatty tissue. Your abdomen is the best treatment area, 2 inches away from your umbilicus (belly button) with intact skin/ no presence of scar tissue. Please rotate injection sites on your abdomen to ensure optimal absorption. Always cleanse your injection site with alcohol prior to your injection.
