When it comes to sculpting your ideal body, have you heard that two treatments can be better than one? Think of it this way – you wouldn’t expect to look toned without exercise, and you wouldn’t expect to lose weight without watching your diet. That’s why body treatments that only reduce fat might not give you the shape you’re looking for. And building muscle is terrific unless you can’t see it below a layer of fat.
About DoubleSculpt™
To meet both of these challenges head-on, we’ve developed DoubleSculpt™, a combination treatment that brings together the fat-freezing technology of CoolSculpting Elite with the muscle-toning power of Emsculpt Neo. Both treatments offer a non-invasive solution to the body’s hard-to-improve areas, specifically the abs and buttocks. These two amazing treatments work together like diet and exercise to slim your shape and tone the muscle below.
You’re probably familiar with CoolSculpting Elite, the #1 non-invasive fat-reduction treatment, which has been safely and effectively performed worldwide more than 7 million times. CoolSculpting Elite is FDA-cleared for reducing fat on the abdomen, flanks, inner and outer thighs, and that so-called banana roll under the buttocks. It’s also a great solution for plenty of other parts of the body. CoolSculpting Elite gets its name from the fact that it permanently eliminates fat by sending intense cooling below the skin to freeze and destroy fat cells.
Emsculpt NEO has garnered attention for its transformative effects on body composition. Through its advanced technology, it paves the way for individuals seeking not only a reduction in fat but also an enhancement in muscle definition and strength, setting a new standard in non-invasive body sculpting.
Performed together, CoolSculpting will significantly reshape your abdomen or buttocks without surgery or downtime, and Emsculpt NEO will tone and define.
Meet DoubleSculpt: The Two-In-One Treatment That Leaves You Toned and Trim
If you’ve ever tried losing weight, you know how stubborn shedding those last few pounds can be. While it’s possible to reach your goal through diet and exercise, sometimes you need a little extra nudge. Luckily, thanks to the rise of non-invasive weight-loss procedures, it’s easier than ever to send those final inches packing.
However, if you’re looking for an aesthetic solution that leaves you looking slimmer — and not to mention, stronger — than before, consider investing in DoubleSculpt. This combination treatment merges the waist-whittling powers of CoolSculpting. To give us the lowdown on this unique in-office offering, New Beauty chatted with Dr. Mitchell Ross, dermatologist and medical director at Greenwich Medical Spa (the place where DoubleSculpt™ was created).

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does DoubleSculpt™ Cost?
The price of DoubleSculpt™ is customized to each individual and based on the number of treatments required to achieve optimal results.
Does DoubleSculpt™ hurt?
Patients report little to no discomfort when getting DoubleSculpt™ treatments. Following a CoolSculpting Elite treatment, you may have residual numbness, bruising, tenderness, and mild swelling that subsides within a week or so. An EMSCULPT NEO treatment feels like an intense workout, so afterwards you may have sore muscles as if you really had been to the gym.
How does DoubleSculpt™ work?
DoubleSculpt™ combines the fat reduction of CoolSculpting Elite with the muscle building of EMSCULPT NEO to freeze away fat while tightening and toning the muscles below.
How long will my DoubleSculpt™ results last?
If you maintain a healthy weight, the results of DoubleSculpt™ will be permanent. A touch-up EMSCULPT NEO treatment for maintenance is recommended every six months to a year.
How many DoubleSculpt™ treatments will I need?
You will likely visit for at least six DoubleSculpt™ treatments – a combined treatment followed by five additional EMSCULPT-only treatments. You may elect to have additional CoolSculpting Elite treatments once maximum results have been achieved.
Is DoubleSculpt™ safe for everyone?
DoubleSculpt™ offers combined treatments that are non-invasive, generally safe, and effective for all body types. However, DoubleSculpt™ is not appropriate for patients who have had recent abdominal surgery, a hernia, implantable metal, implantable cardiac devices, or during menses. Additionally, CoolSculpting Elite, a component of DoubleSculpt™ is not a good option for people with cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria.
Is there any downtime following a DoubleSculpt™ treatment?
There is no downtime following this non-invasive treatment, and you can return to all regular activities immediately.
What areas can I treat with DoubleSculpt™?
We use DoubleSculpt™ to tone the abdominals and firm the buttocks. These can be two of the most difficult areas to affect through diet and exercise.
When will I see results from DoubleSculpt™?
You will begin to see results after the first treatment as EMSCULPT NEO quickly builds the muscles of your abs or buttocks, making them firmer. CoolSculpting Elite results are typically first visible around 3 weeks after treatment with maximum results at 12 weeks. From this combined treatment, you will notice that you are getting firmer and slimmer throughout the entire process.
