Slim Shot™ Medical Weight Loss Program

Based on your assessment, we will provide your semaglutide prescription and thoroughly train you on sterile injection techniques, so you can administer your weekly injections in the comfort of your own home.

Each week, you will perform your Slim Shot semaglutide injection on the same day at home.

Once a month, we’ll schedule a check-in appointment with you at one of our GMS locations in CT, NY or virtually (if you’re not near a location that offers in-person Slim Shot visits) to ensure that you’re thriving and feeling amazing. During these visits, we’ll have the opportunity to assess your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your dosage. We’ll also closely monitor your weight loss journey to celebrate your achievements and keep you on track.

Once you’ve completed the initial 6-month period of your Slim Shot weight loss journey, we’ll have a great understanding of how your body responds to the semaglutide injections. This means that we can tailor your follow-up schedule to make it even more convenient for you.

Instead of monthly check-ins, you’ll only need to visit us about every 3 months to ensure you’re still on track and thriving. We’ll continue to monitor your progress, address any concerns, and make any necessary adjustments to keep you on the path to success.

Within the first week of your Slim Shot™ protocol, you should start noticing increased ease in sticking to your healthy eating plan. Full effects are typically achieved around the eighth week of semaglutide injections, but with your lowered overall appetite, you can start losing weight slowly and safely right away.

Slim Shot™ is injected under the skin of your thigh, stomach, or upper arm with a fine needle and causes most patients little discomfort. You will be able to self-administer your weekly shot without difficulty.

Semaglutides and GLP-1s are safe for most patients, and we require that you attend regular follow-up appointments with our practitioners. Following your initial consultation, you will return in six weeks, then once a month for four months, and every three months after that.   

There are a variety of conditions that are contraindicated with semaglutides like Slim Shot™. We will discuss these thoroughly during your consultation and at the follow-up appointments.
