Frequently Asked Questions
What is The Activator™?
Developed by Greenwich Medical Spa, The Activator™ is an exclusive treatment for thinning hair. By microneedling growth factor serum into the scalp and prescription-strength home care products, the Activator™ stimulates growth, providing you with hair that appears thicker and denser.
What is Re: Activate?
We developed Re: Activate to be a comprehensive treatment for hair regrowth. A daily treatment that you simply gently massage into the scalp, Re: Activate stimulates hair follicles, supports healthy hair regrowth, and restores thicker hair. It’s our proprietary blend of 10% Minoxidil, biotin, caffeine, and peptides that provides proven clinical results in as little as 12 weeks and visible results with continuous daily use after 24 weeks.
Microneedling? Does The Activator™ hurt, and is there any downtime?
Prior to treatment, your scalp will be numbed with topical anesthetic, which will relieve any sensation of discomfort. There is no downtime following an Activator treatment, and any pain can be easily managed with Ibuprofen. You may experience some mild swelling of the forehead for a day or two following treatment. This is normal and will subside within 48 hours. Until the swelling is gone, you should avoid vigorous activity, but you can wash your hair normally immediately following treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
The Activator™ provides results after just one treatment. To ensure that your hair continues you thrive, we will assess your results every four months and track your progress each year. Daily use of Re: Activate is important for achieving maximum results, and it must continue in order to maintain your results. You may also need a maintenance treatment of The Activator about every 2 years.
When will I see results?
In keeping with the hair growth cycle, you could see a difference in your hair’s thickness and your hairline as soon as 4 months after treatment, although 6 to 8 months is typical.
Will these treatments help if I am already experiencing hair loss?
Starting treatment soon after hair thinning begins offers the maximum improvement potential. The Activator™ and Re: Activate work well on male pattern hair loss, alopecia, and hair loss caused by vitamin and mineral deficiencies and medication.
Can The Activator™ and Re: Activate be used for all hair and skin types?
Yes! These treatments are safe for all skin types and effective for all hair types.
